If you are connecting a lithium battery to your LVX 6048 then you will need to program the settings for your specific battery bank.

Here is a PDF copy of the user manual for the inverter → click here

  • Step 1: Setting 14 and switch to "User Defined" -- This will allow you to customize the settings.
  • Step 2: Setting 17 -- Where you set the charging perameters.
  • Step 3: Setting 18 -- Where you set the Float.
  • Step 4: Setting 19 -- Where you set the Low Voltage Cut Off.

We always recommend seting the bulk and float around 0.5V less than your batteries stated specs because those are actually cutoff points, we want to stay clear of these.

Also set the Low Voltage Cutoff at least 1v to 0.5 v or more higher than the stated battery low DC cutoff.  You want the inverter to shut down BEFORE the battery cuts you off.

The settings above are where ou go in the settings to program your inverter for your specific battery bank. We have included a couple popular options below for you to reference.

For a HSKY battery:

  • Program 17 = Charging: set this to 58.4V
  • Program 18 = Float: set this to 58V
  • Program 19 = Low Voltage Cut Off: set this to 46V.  (If your battery is shutting off too quickly, you can actually lower this to 44V)

For a Kong Elite battery:

  • Program 17 = Charging: set this to 58.4V
  • Program 18 = Float: set this to 58V
  • Program 19 = Low Voltage Cut Off: set this to 51.2V.  (If your battery is shutting off too quickly, you can actually lower this to 48V)
